Welcome!

I am the sports director and a fill-in news anchor/reporter at KOLO in Reno, Nevada.

Sports is my true passion. After I got cut from the high school baseball team I realized becoming a professional athlete was not in the cards. My dad posed a life-changing question to me: “how can you turn your passion for sports into a career and get paid for it?” My senior year I joined Newport High School’s media production class. The creativity needed to become successful in that course put me on the path to pursue television as a career and tap into the idea that if you do something you love you won’t work a day in your life.

Work at Washington State University (Go Cougs!), KCPQ, KIRO, KFBB, and now KOLO has me where I am today.

Connecting with the community is the pillar to my storytelling. During my time in the Biggest Little City I’ve told the story of a soccer coach who survived a suicide attempt and is using his second life to uplift others. I’ve also spearheaded a yearslong partnership between my station and the AAA baseball team in town, hosted the market’s most popular high school sports show, and covered just about every sport at every level imaginable.

When filling in for the news team I’ve been in the middle of a violent riot, with people who lost their homes in wildfires, and covered former United States President, Donald Trump, at his numerous campaign stops in Northern Nevada.

Outside of work I’m watching sports, cooking, at the gym, or eating out with friends.
